Covid-19: Haryana orders to close down schools till November 30

CHANDIGARH: Considering the increasing number of students getting infected due to Covid-19, the Haryana government on Friday decided to shut down all the government and private schools in the state till November 30. During this period, all the schools would be sanitized.
An order in this regard has been issued by the directorate of school education Haryana on Friday afternoon.
“Considering the health of the students in view of the increase in infection due to Covid-19, it has been decided by the state to close all the government and private schools in the state for the students as well as the teachers. The head of the school shall be held responsible for any kind of non-compliance of these orders,” says the order issued by the state government.
The orders came a day after the Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar had said the state would reconsider holding regular classes for the students.
A large number of students of private as well as state run schools across the state were tested positive for Covid-19 recently.
