Drug peddler arrested in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal

Srinagar, Nov 20 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir police have arrested a drug peddler and recovered psychotropic substance from him in the central Kashmir district of Ganderbal, a police spokesman said on Friday evening.
He said a check point was established by police at Lar in Ganderbal. During the checking a car was intercepted, he said adding one drug peddler identified as Adil Ahmad Wani, a resident of Shuhama, Ganderbal was arrested after Codeine Phosphate consignment was recovered from him
He has been arrested and car seized, spokesman said.
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Lar and investigation in the matter has been initiated.
Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law. Police has resolved to deal robustly with drug peddlers. Our consistent actions against drug peddlers should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace.

Haryana to appoint Safai Karamcharis under outsourcing policy

Chandigarh, Nov 20 (UNI) The Haryana Government has issued directions to all Administrative Secretaries, Heads of Departments and Corporations, Boards and State Commissions that while appointing a Safai Karamchari under Outsourcing Policy Part 1 through contractor it should be ensured that the contractor does not send new workers in place of the old workers unless there are serious complaints of misconduct against the old workers.
