Punjab: 104 new Covid-19 cases in Ludhiana

LUDHIANA: Deputy commissioner Varinder Sharma on Thursday said there are 837 active Covid-19 patients in the Punjab's Ludhiana district.
He said that a total of 130 patients (104 new patients from district Ludhiana and 26 from other states/districts) have tested positive during the last 24 hours.
He further said that till date, a total of 4,24,076 samples have been taken, out of which the report of 4,22,321 samples has been received, of which 3,97,505 samples were found negative while report of 1,755 samples was pending.
He said that now, the total number of patients related to Ludhiana is 21,769, while 3,047 patients are related to other districts/states.
Now, the total number of persons who lost their lives include 875 people from Ludhiana and 360 from other districts.
He said that till date, 48,916 persons have been kept under home quarantine in the district and at present, the number of such persons is 1,500. Today, 134 persons were sent for home quarantine.
