CHENNAI: A youth was arrested in Madurai district of Tamil Nadu for watching child pornographic materials and sharing them in social media.
The arrested youth has been identified as B Ramkumar, 20, of Narikudi near Peraiyur. He had been watching child pornographic materials since June, police said.
Based on the alert from the National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), a police team arrested him on Wednesday and seized his mobile phone.
The T Kallupatti police registered a case against him under sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and the Information Technology Act.
