Under this block, Tigra urban primary health centre, with 27, still has the highest number of such zones. The number of containment zones under the primary health centre of Badshapur has come down to three.
“We have removed 93 areas that completed their containment till November 19 and have added 48 more. A majority of Covid-19 cases are being reported from Tigra, Choma, Rajendra Park, Basai Enclave, Gandhi Nagar and Wazirabad. Rapid antigen tests will be conducted at marketplaces, Labour Chowk and sabzi mandis between 6.30am and 9.30am. We have been directed by the CMO to conduct random tests at metro stations too,” said Dr MP Singh, nodal officer of containment zones, health department.
While only evening camps, from 5pm to 8pm, were held earlier in markets, health officials said rapid antigen tests will be conducted in the mornings too now as they have received more kits.
