Parliamentarians pay tributes to Indira Gandhi on her 103rd birth anniversary

New Delhi, Nov 19 (UNI) Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla; Leader of Opposition (Rajya Sabha) Ghulam Nabi Azad; Members of Parliament and former Members of Parliament on Thursday paid floral tributes to former prime minister Indira Gandhi in the Central Hall of Parliament on her 103rd birth anniversary.

Lok Sabha Secretary-General Snehlata Shrivastava, Rajya Sabha Secretary-General Desh Deepak Verma and Secretary, Lok Sabha Secretariat Utpal Kumar Singh also paid floral tributes, the Lok Sabha Secretariat said in a statement.

A booklet containing the profile of former prime minister Indira Gandhi, brought out in Hindi and English by the Lok Sabha Secretariat, was presented to the dignitaries who attended the function.

The portrait of former prime minister Indira Gandhi was unveiled by the then President R Venkataraman, in the Central Hall of Parliament House on November 19, 1987.
