Police lay attempted murder charge after man found with throat slit
Police have laid a charge of attempted murder after a days-long investigation over a man found with his throat slit at a Logan home at the weekend.
Officers conducting a welfare check on the 53-year-old alleged victim, who did not know his alleged attacker, discovered him in critical condition at a Quinzeh Creek Road address about 3.15pm on Sunday.

It will be alleged the man had been assaulted with a "sharp instrument that caused a severe laceration to his throat", police said in a statement.
He was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital, where he remains in a serious but stable condition, with other "significant injuries" to his chest, abdomen and head.
After an investigation was launched into the circumstances of the man's injuries, police later charged a 32-year-old Shailer Park man.
He was due to appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Thursday on one charge each of attempted murder, enter dwelling with intent and contravening order about information necessary to access information.
Investigations are ongoing and anyone who may have been in, or have dashcam or CCTV footage of, the area at the time is urged to contact police.
