President’s greetings on eve of Chhath Puja

New Delhi, Nov 19 (UNI) President Ram Nath Kovind has on the eve of Chhath Puja asked devotees to resolve to preserve nature and environment and celebrate the festival keeping in mind Covid-19 restrictions.

Extending his greetings to the people, the President said, “On Chhath Puja, there has been a tradition of people worshipping the Sun God and also offering reverence and gratitude to Mother Nature by veneration of rivers, ponds and other sources of water."

He asked devotees to resolve to preserve nature and environment and celebrate the festival keeping in mind the spread of Covid-19 epidemic. "May 'Chhath Maiya' bless all the citizens with good health and prosperity", he added.

New Delhi, Nov 19 (UNI) With an aim to ramp up health infrastructure in Delhi following the sharp increase in Coronavirus cases, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Thursday said that around 500 isolation beds at COVID care centre at Chhatarpur will be converted to beds with oxygen facility by this weekend.
