A woman was found dead on the Miami Beach shoreline, police say

Miami Beach police are investigating after a woman was found dead early Wednesday on the shoreline near 79th Street.

Police and paramedics went to the area after receiving a 911 call about the body around 6:30 a.m., according to Miami Beach police.

Detectives are trying to determine who the woman is and how she died.
