PRAYAGRAJ: Experts at North Central Railways (NCR) have developed two in-house apps. While one of the app would make booking of the rest house more convenient, the other app would help in tracking the status of arbitration.
Named as Arbitration Tracking Module (ATM) and “Officers’ Rest House Allotment System (ORAS), the apps have been launched by NCR General Manager Rajiv Chaudhry.
Web and mobile app “Arbitration Tracking Module” will help in monitoring pending cases and will expedite disposal of arbitration cases, informed chief public relation officer of NCR, Ajeet Kumar Singh.
Contractors and suppliers etc will be able to register on this app and place online requests for arbitration and track progress of their case. With help of various Management Information System (MIS) tools available in this web and mobile based application, it will be possible to speedily dispose of existing arbitration cases and will also help in identifying system improvement items to minimize accrual of fresh cases, he explained.
The second completely in-house developed app “Officers’ Rest House Allotment System (ORAS)” will on the other hand help in online allotment of all officers’ rest houses of NCR. Through this web and mobile app applicant can make online application for any Officers’ rest houses of NCR. Allotment confirmation to applicant shall be given through message using this app, Singh explained.
This app will make complete allotment process paperless and with online updation of occupancy in allotted rooms of different ORHs, this will also help in improving availability of rooms in Officers’ Rest Houses, he said.
GM Chaudhry commended DGM (G), NCR Mannu Prakash Dubey and officials from IT cell of NCR involved in developing these apps through completely in-house efforts and announced group cash award for the team. Both these app are available for access and download through the link provided under E-Office(In-House) on NCR’s official website https://ncr.indianrailways.gov.in and mobile versions shall also be available on Google Play Store for which process has already been initiated, Singh said.
