Public spat over Central University creates awkward situation for HP govt

Shimla, Nov 18 (UNI) The statement of Union Minister of State for Finance Anurag Thakur over Central University of Himachal Pradesh (CUHP) at Dadasiba in Hamirpur district has put the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party in an awkward situation.

The virulent attack made by the central minister made embarrassment for the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur-led BJP government as he blamed the state government officials for delay in setting up a permanent campus for the CUHP.

The spate seems to be an open rebellion to the state government by making public attacks over its way of functioning and knowingly to do so could not invite public allure but to score the political points.

The video and written text of Anurag Thakur's speech is making rounds in the social media referred about his wishful thinking to set up Central university Campus which is being executed with slow pace by the Jai Ram Thakur Government like previous Congress & BJP rules.

Anurag Thakur dominated the spat stating that he is working relentlessly. He stressed that he did not left any stone unturned to set up Central University main campus at Dehra in the Kangra district as he demanded to provide Rs 500 Crore for the project beside this environment clearance issued by the Centre due it his efforts.
