Covid-19: 31 deaths, 802 cases in Punjab

CHANDIGARH: Cases of coronavirus infection continues to rise in Punjab as 802 people were tested positive on Wednesday while 31 succumbed to the virus.
The overall tally of the state shot up to 143,395 while the virus claimed the lives of 4,541 people. Of deaths reported in last 24 hours, six were reported in Jalandhar, five in Ludhiana, three each in Hoshiarpur and Sangrur, two each in Fazilka, Bathinda and Muktsar and one each in Amritsar, Barnala, Fatehgarh Sahib, Mansa, Mohali and Pathankot.
In Mohali, 134 people were tested positive, 108 in Patiala, 85 in Ludhiana, 55 in Amritsar and 54 in Hoshiarpur. As many as 43 people were found infected in Bathinda, 39 in Gurdaspur, 37 in Fazilka, 27 in Faridkot, 21 in Ropar , 20 in Pathankot, 17 in Muktsar, 13 in Fatehgarh Sahib, 1o in Nawanshahr, 11 in Sangrur, nine in Mansa, seven in Kapurthala, six in Ferozepur and three each in Moga, Barnala and Tarn Taran.
