Bhubaneswar, Nov18 (UNI) Covid recovery in Odisha today shot up to 3,00,474 with the cure of 1315 covid patients in the state on Tuesday last.

Health and Family Welfare department sources said 15 more covid patients under treatment died in the past 24 hours taking the covid toll in the state to 1575.

At the same time, 868 more people tested covid positive from 30 districts in the state during the past 24 hours. They included 502 from various quarantine centres and 366 local contact cases.

With fresh 868 cases, the covid tally in the state went up to 3,10,920. Sources said only Khordha district has reported more than 100 new cases while the rest 29 districts and the state pool registered less than 100 cases.

With 102 new covid positive cases, the total covid tally in Khordha district went up to 50,799, highest in the state.

The district also topped in the covid toll with 270 deaths till date followed by Ganjam ( 233), Cuttack (125), Sundargarh ( 106) and Puri (91 ).

Official sources said out of 15deaths reported in the state in the past 24 hours, Sundargarh district reported three deaths followed by two each in Gajapati, Sambalpur and Subarnapur district. One each died in six other districts.

So far 53,76,393 tests were conducted in the state and out of them 3,10,920 ( 5.78 per cent) were found infected with the coronavirus.

The active cases in the state further reduced to 8818.
