Markets opened with a mild tick of red on Wednesday amid nervousness in the global markets. The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex opened 100 points, or 0.2 per cent, lower at 43,842 levels with ICICI Bank, Infosys, and M&M being the top gainers on the 30-share index.
Shares of Lakshmi Vulas Bank tanked 20 per cent on the BSE after the government put the bank under moratorium till December 16.
NSE's Nifty50, on the other hand, started the day at 12,850 levels, down 20 points or 0.2 per cent
