RPF officer saves life of female passenger at Kalyan railway station

Thane, Nov 17 (UNI) An alert RPF (Railway Protection Force) officer has won accolades for saving the life of a female passenger at Kalyan railway station on Tuesday morning.
This morning at 0905 hours, senior inspector Vijay Solanki was on train passing duty and attending to Udyan Express special on platform number 5 of Kalyan, when he noticed a female passenger, while trying to board the moving train, falling in the gap between the platform and the train, an official release said.
He rushed to the spot and pulled her out.
The female passenger, identified as Soni Lokesh Govanda (35, of Ramwadi in Kalyan), was travelling to Bengaluru Cantonment with her husband and kids, the release added.
