MP to have law against ‘love jihad’

Bhopal, Nov 17 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Home and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Narottam Mishra averred on Tuesday that the state dispensation in preparing to bring in – during the next Assembly session – a proposal for legislation against conversion for marriage.
“Such proselytization will be a non-bailable offence and attract rigorous imprisonment of half a decade,” the senior politician conveyed via social media subsequent to an interaction with the press here.

Bhopal, Nov 17 (UNI) The fatality figure owing to the ‘millennium scourge’ mounted to 3,102 on Tuesday in Madhya Pradesh where ten fresh demises were reported even as the infected tally touched 1,85,446 with 922 more sufferers being detected during analysis of 17,958 specimens.
A Health Services Directorate bulletin pegged the active cases at 9,060. Bhopal District had the dubious distinction of spawning the highest 207 new instances, Indore 178, Gwalior 55, Jabalpur 48, Rewa 37, Vidisha 28, Ratlam and Satna 26 each, Balaghat 21, Sagar and Shivpuri 19 each, Dhar 12, Ujjain ten, Khargone eight, etc.
