The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are M&M (up 5.1%), L&T (up 5.1%) and BAJAJ FINANCE (up 3.1%). Other gainers include BAJAJ FINSERV (up 2.6%) and INDUSIND BANK (up 1.7%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are SBI and POWER GRID.
In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 12,902 (down 0.3%). The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include M&M (up 5.9%), L&T (up 4.9%) and TATA MOTORS (up 3.8%). Other gainers include BAJAJ FINANCE (up 2.9%) and ADANI PORTS & SEZ (up 2.7%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.
Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 40,286 to 44,052, registering a gain of 3,766 points (up 8.88%).
L&T net profit down at Rs 23 billion for the quarter ended September 2020, compared to a loss of Rs 25 billion a year ago. Net Sales declined 14.4% to Rs 310.3 billion during the period as against Rs 362.4 billion in July-September 2019.
For the year ended March 2020, L&T reported 2.3% increase in net profit to Rs 101.7 billion compared to net profit of Rs 99.4 billion during FY19.
Revenue of the company grew 7.6% to Rs 1,455 billion during FY20.
The current Price to earnings ratio of L&T, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 38.3x.
