Political activity picks up pace after declaration of GHMC Polls

Hyderabad, Nov 17 (UNI) Political activity has picked up the pace after the declaration of
elections for the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) slated for December one.

Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao will hold a key meeting with the ruling
Telangana Rashtra Samithi Parliamentary and Legislature parties on Wednesday to
discuss the ensuing election and to chalk out the party's strategy.

Quick on the heels of the announcement of the GHMC poll schedule earlier on Tuesday, the TPCC has constituted five Parliamentary wise election committees comprising senior party leaders for the GHMC polls.

The Congress manifesto committee headed by Marri Shashidhar Reddy is expected to complete the preparation of the party's manifesto in two days. AICC state in charge
Manicka Tagore will release the manifesto. on November 21, according to the party sources.

In a significant development, film actor-turned-politician and founder-President of Jana Sena party Pavan Kalyan, in a key move, has decided to field the party's candidates in the GHMC polls,

The actor said that the decision to plunge into the fray was taken following the appeal
by the party cadre.
