NEW DELHI: MidCap stocks were trading on a positive note at 01:03PM (IST) on Tuesday.
Shares of Indian Hotels Company (up 8.3 per cent), Adani Transmissions (up 5.53 per cent), Motilal Oswal Financial Services (up 5.18 per cent), Vodafone Idea (up 5.05 per cent) and Adani Green (up 4.76 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While JSW Energy (down 3.36 per cent), Crompton (down 2.8 per cent), Muthoot Finance (down 2.34 per cent), Zee Entertainment (down 2.05 per cent) and Bayer CropScience (down 2.0 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
The S&P BSE MidCap index was trading 0.77 per cent up at 16098.78 around 01:03PM.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 66.05 points at 12846.3, while the BSE Sensex was up 216.84 points at 43854.82.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 34 were trading in the green, while 16 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Tanla Solutions, Tata Motors and SBI were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Adani Gas Ltd., Astral Poly Tech, Tata Steel, Tanla Solutions and Adani Green Energy Ltd. hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while Pazel International Ltd., Real Touch Finance Ltd., Neil Industries Ltd., Madhusudan Securities Ltd., Blue Coast Hotels Ltd., Jump Networks Ltd., Meenakshi Enterprises Ltd., Gujchem Distillers India Ltd., Starlite Components Ltd. and Square Four Projects India Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
