An oil well in Bagjan of Assam was successfully closed on Sunday after about five months and the fire was completely extinguished. Oil India gave this information. Three employees of the company were killed and many others were injured in this major industrial disaster in the Northeast.

Many parties, including foreign experts, had to enlist the help of the well to control the fire. Oil India Limited spokesperson Tridiv Hazarika issued a statement saying that the well has been closed and is now under control. The fire has been completely extinguished.

He said that now there is no pressure in the well and it will be monitored for the next twenty-four hours to check the gas leakage and pressure.

He said that experts from a Singapore company are actively working in the last campaign to control the well.
