After several years, the real estate market appears to be favouring buyers.

Synopsis

The housing sector is looking up after quite some time and our number of approvals for the month of October was up 58% as compared to the same period last year. People are buying homes around the country and not only in Mumbai -- home loan numbers are proof.

Even before the pandemic arrived, the real estate sector in India was struggling. Builders were left with huge inventory as buyers shied away. Then came the lockdown, and home sales hit new lows. However, buyers now appear to be back in the market. The July-September quarter numbers offered hope to developers, and the trend is expected to continue in the October-December quarter as well.Adding to the optimism is the stimulus package announced by
