Seven migrant workers die after vehicle falls in rivulet in Himachal

Mandi/Shimla, Nov 16 (UNI ) Seven migrant labourers from Bihar were killed when a vehicle in which they were travelling fell into a rivulet in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh.

The victims were going to Behna village near district headquarters of Mandi in a Mahindra Pickup Jeep when the incident took place.

Additional Superintendent of Police Ashish Sharma said that six of the victims died on the spot while one person succumbed in the Mandi hospital.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the accident occurred when the driver of the vehicle lost control over it and fell down in Suketi khud over the bridge of Pul Gharaat. The victim labourers were hired by a local contractor.

The deceased were identified as Mohammad Imran (27), Moh. Sajid (16), Moh. Faijan (16), while three bodies are yet to be identified.
