No more dispute b/w UP, Uttarakhand over assets: Yogi

Lucknow, Nov 16 (UNI) A day before the Kedarnath shrine will be closed for winters, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath offered prayers at the shrine amid heavy snowfall.
CM also reviewed on-going construction work at Kedardham with his Uttarakhand counterpart Trivendra Singh Rawat and claimed that major disputes between two neighbouring states have been resolved.
“There is no more property dispute between Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Majority of the disputes have been resolved. There are one or to iuses left which will also be resolved through dialogues,” Yogi said in Kedarnath on Monday.
He said that there was dispute over Alakhnanda Guest house in Haridwar and the issue was pending in Supreme Court. Both the governments have resolved it and UP has decided to hand it over to Uttarakhand and in turn it will give land to UP on which a new guest house will be constructed, Yogi said.
“Construction work is going on full swing for construction of UP’s Tourism rest house in Haridwar. Its construction will be completed before Kumbh mela,” he said.
Both the CM reviewed the construction work of Kedardham. “The construction work is being carried out under the direction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Once complete, this area will be developed into top religious tourism spot,” he said.
Uttar Pradesh CM will also visit Badrinath which will be closed November 19.
“I thank honorable CM Rawat ji for such a warm welcome and reception. I am here to pay my homages to Baba Kedar and pray to bestow his blessings upon all of us,” added CM.
