According to a grieved local, this has been an issue for around 15 years. "Only if a barrier was built, will there be a relief for us" says the local woman. "We vacate our houses for these two months every year during the rainy season when there is flooding. Although funds have been allocated by the government for our locality's improvement, no steps have been taken to rectify this issue", she said.
Another local said that the flooding starts after two days of rain and that the flood water streams from the empty plots that are situated nearby. Speaking for every local, he stated that a barrier would go a long way to help with this issue.
