While there is some suspense whether Sushil Kumar Modi will continue as deputy chief minister or if the saffron party would choose a new face, sources have indicated that BJP's Tarkishore Prasad and Renu Devi are likely to be deputy CMs of Bihar.
If sources are to be believed, BJP is most likely to also push for the position of Speaker of Bihar assembly.
Four-term Katihar MLA Tarkishore Prasad was on Sunday named the BJP legislature party leader, indicating that he could be the deputy chief minister in the new NDA government headed by Nitish Kumar.
Bettiah MLA Renu Devi was made the BJP's deputy legislature party leader and she could be another deputy CM in the NDA ministry.
Sushil Kumar Modi congratulated Katihar MLA Tarkishore Prasad on becoming the leader of the BJP in the assembly.
Sushil Kumar Modi tweeted saying, "Congratulations to Tadkishor ji on being unanimously elected the leader of the BJP Legislature!"
In another tweet, Sushil Kumar Modi said, "The BJP and the Sangh Parivar gave me so much in my political life of 40 years that no other person would have got. I will also discharge the responsibility that will be given in future. No one can take away the post of a worker".

Although not much is known about Tarkishore Prasad in the political circles, he hails from the Kalwar caste, which is a part of the Vaishya community that comes under the backward class category, news agency PTI reported.
According to the report, the 52-year-old BJP leader has risen from the ranks of Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), an affiliate of the RSS.
Prasad has been winning the Katihar constituency since October 2005.
He passed the Intermediate (10+2) exam in the science stream from DS College in Katihar in 1974 and has shown agriculture as his profession in the affidavit submitted during the recently-held elections.
Renu Devi, meanwhile, is from the Noniya caste, which is an extremely backward class community.
She has been elected four times from Bettiah and was a minister during Nitish Kumar's second term as chief minister.
Nitish Kumar to become Bihar CM for 4th straight term
Meanwhile, Nitish Kumar on Sunday met Bihar Governor Phagu Chauhan, after being unanimously elected as the leader of the NDA in the state and staked claim for the formation of the new government in Bihar.
Talking to reporters outside his residence upon returning from the Raj Bhavan, Kumar said the swearing-in ceremony will take place on Monday evening.
"The Governor was handed over the letter of support from all four constituents of the NDA. As per his direction, we shall be taking oath at the Raj Bhavan, tomorrow, around 4.30 pm," Nitish Kumar said who is on course to becoming the longest-serving chief minister of Bihar.
