Multan Sultans will have one more chance of entering the final of the Pakistan Super League 2020 tournament after a thrilling loss in the Super Over in the Qualifier against Karachi Kings. Babar Azam’s brilliant 65 and some solid bowling from the Karachi Kings helped them escape with a thrilling win against an in-form Multan Sultans side. This was the first time that Karachi Kings have entered the final of the Pakistan Super League. At the other match, Lahore Qalandars eliminated Peshawar Zalmi by a big margin thanks to some sensational bowling from Shaheen Afridi and a brilliant 74 from Mohammad Hafeez.
Hafeez has been in fine form in the last couple of months in the Twenty20 format and he will be hoping to give Lahore Qalandars some more cheer as they look to enter the final for the first time. Multan Sultans, on the other hand, have escaped with some narrow wins but have also suffered some close defeats and this will put them in a good space in case the matches head down to the wire.
