Pondy: 30 booked for flouting cracker ban

Puducherry, Nov 15 (UNI) About 30 people were booked for bursting crackers to celebrate Diwali last night, police said on Sunday.
Bursting of firecrackers in the union territory was permitted only for two hours - from 0600 to 0700 hrs and from 2000 to 2100 hrs on Deepavali day, as per the directions of the Supreme Court.

Cases have been registered in different police stations, including that of D Nagar, Grand bazaar, Villianur among others.
