Addressing a press conference here, he said the rebate would be applicable to the households who are paying property tax upto Rs 15,000 in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) area and Rs 10,000 in other cities once in a year.

The amount, for those who had paid the property tax, will be adjusted in the next financial year, he said.

The Minister said that with this, about 31.40 lakh families would be benefited for an amount of Rs 326.48 crore in the state.

Mr Rao said that the state government has distributed Rs 475 crore to 4,75,8771 families so far under flood relief.

If anyone not received the flood relief funds, they should register their names in Mee-Seva centres while quoting Aadhaar and house numbers, he said.

The Minister assured that the state government was ready to allocate Rs 100 crore more to extend flood relief.

He also said that the wages of sanitation workers will be increased from Rs 14,500 to Rs 17,500.
