Development of injustice, corruption in BJP rule: Akhilesh

Development of injustice, corruption in BJP rule: Akhilesh

Etawah, Nov 14 (UNI) Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav has said that rather than any big developmental work during the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s regime, injustice, atrocities and corruption are at their peak.

Talking to journalists at his hometown in Etawah on Saturday, Mr Yadav said that the BJP's only work has been to destroy the good works of the Samajwadi government. The public is fed up of the BJP government.

The SP has been struggling for the farmers, youngsters. Taking all sections of the society together and keeping development in the front, the SP will win the next Assembly elections, he claimed.

Wishing people on Diwali, he said that the daughters are unsafe in the BJP rule. People are being insulted after being implicated in false cases. The police's attitude is also not appropriate.

The Samajwadi Party had stood with the family of a daughter who was murdered in Hathras. The 'Samajwadis' led the struggle for help and justice where injustice took place, he said.

The SP president questioned that the government had made tall claims in the name of toilets being constructed but even today, toilets cannot be spotted in the villages. Certificates of ODF are being issued without toilets getting constructed. There is no electricity. The BJP government did not produce one unit of electricity. Inflation has increased. Manure, electricity, diesel are all expensive.

The farmers did not get the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for paddy. The farmers' income was not doubled. The BJP's policies are anti-farmers. Oil is being imported from abroad instead of the mustard oil from the farmers of the state. Public money is being looted. The sugarcane farmers did not get the dues. They are being humiliated, he alleged.

The former UP CM said that the BJP government is not opening the lion safari in Etawah. The government would have earned income from this. Now there is a discussion of sending lions elsewhere. Facilities will be provided on safari for bicyclists, for those taking a morning walk when a Samajwadi government is formed.

Mr Yadav claimed at the people supported the Mahagathbandhan in Bihar. There has not been such a big deception in a democracy when someone has been defeated while being so close to winning. Dishonesty took place there. All the surveys were in favor of the grand alliance but suddenly the results changed.

He said that if the BJP can form a government on the basis of lies, then we will definitely be able to form our government on the basis of development and public confidence.

Earlier, the SP president hinted on forging a tie-up with his rival uncle Shivpal Singh Yadav's Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party (Lohiya) for the 2022 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.
