39-year-old robbed at gunpoint in southeast Delhi

NEW DELHI: A 39-year-old man was robbed of his valuables by three armed men at gunpoint near Indraprastha Park in southeast Delhi early on Friday. Police are yet to trace the suspects.
The victim, Amit Arora, told police that five men in a white Swift car approached him when he stopped his car to relieve himself. Three masked men got down. While one of them put a gun to his stomach, the other held a knife to his back and the third person asked him to remove his belongings. The accused were even carrying a cutter with them and used it to cut one of his rings when it wasn’t coming out, he said.
After attending a party in Indirapuram, Amit Arora was returning to Rohini with his wife Megha Arora and two others when the incident took place. Around 1.15 am when they had reached near Indraprastha Park near Sarai Kale Khan, Amit stopped his car to relieve himself.
“The complainant said the men forced him to give away his gold kada, a gold chain, two gold rings, a watch and cash Rs 40,000 to them,” said a senior police officer.
Deputy commissioner of police (southeast) RP Meena said CCTV footage from the area was being checked and details of the Swift car were being obtained. “Witnesses are being examined to identify and arrest the suspects. Gangs that resort to similar modus operandi are being tracked. All efforts are being made to trace the accused persons,” Meena added. TNN
