"Soumitra Chatterjee very critical, only miracle can bring a favourable outcome": Doctors

Kolkata, Nov 14(UNI): Medical condition of Soumitra Chatterjee is still extremely critical.

In the 4.30 pm bulletin, today, Dr Arindam Kar from Belle Vue Clinic said, "His condition has not been good for the last 24 hours and he is on a lot of different life support. He is not keeping well. It seems that our 40 days of fight has not been enough to get him well. As of now, we don't have anything new to say, let's all pray that he gets better but it seems unlikely that eventually there will be a favourable outcome."

Doctors are still not expecting anything better.

"We have informed his family members and relatives. With a saddened heart they have accepted that nothing less than miracle can get him out of this situation. We will be giving all our best till the last moment. But it seems that he is not responding to current therapies and his situation is very critical," Dr Kar added.

An update on Chatterjee's health will be given at around 8.30 pm, he said.
