BSE Sensex at All Time High; TATA STEEL Among Top Gainers

The BSE Sensex has hit an all-time high at 43,831 (up 0.4%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE Sensex today are TATA STEEL (up 1.2%), SUN PHARMA (up 1.1%) and INFOSYS (up 1.0%). Other gainers include BHARTI AIRTEL (up 1.0%) and ONGC (up 0.8%).

The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ITC and TATA STEEL.

NTPC (down 0.7%) and POWER GRID (down 0.6%) are among the top losers today.

In the meantime, the NSE Nifty is at 12,829 (up 0.4%).

The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include BPCL (up 5.3%), IOC (up 2.5%) and TATA MOTORS (up 1.4%). Other gainers include SUN PHARMA (up 1.1%) and GAIL (up 0.9%).

Which stocks contributed the most to the BSE Sensex?

Over the last one year, the BSE Sensex has moved up from Rs 40,116 to Rs 43,831, registering a gain of Rs 3,715 (up 8.7%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks during this same period were INFOSYS (up 64.2%), HCL TECHNOLOGIES (up 45.3%) and RELIANCE IND. (up 37.3%).

What about the other broader BSE Indices?

Over the last 12 months, the BSE 100 index has gained 900 points and is now trading at 12,832. The top gainer here is DIVIS LABORATORIES (up 106.2%).

The BSE 500 on the other hand gained 1,351 points (up 0.4%), and is currently at 16,563.
