So far, India has recorded 87,73,479 confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 1,29,188 deaths. A total of 81,63,572 people have recuperated from COVID-19 so far. There are 4,80,719 active cases in the country as of date, which comprises 5.48 percent of the total caseload, the data stated. Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka have reported the highest number of cases. However, infections are rising rapidly in states like Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal. Yet, India’s recovery rate continues to rise and now stands at 93.05 percent. 'Unlock 6.0' is underway. Telangana reported 1,050 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday, taking the total number of cases to 2,56,713 in the state. 1,736 recoveries and four deaths were reported in the state on Friday. The state Health Department said the total count of coronavirus cases in the state has increased to 2,56,713 including 2,38,908 discharges, 1,401 deaths and active cases 16,404. The case fatality rate currently stands at 0.54 per cent in the state, while the recovery rate stands at 93.06 per cent. A total of 13,867 people are in-home or institutional isolation in the state. Meanwhile, with new 44,684 COVID-19 infections reported in the last 24 hours, India's total cases surged to 87,73,479, said the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) said on Saturday. Coronavirus in Arunachal Pradesh LIVE Updates | Fifty-seven more people, including two Armymen, tested positive for COVID-19 in Arunachal Pradesh, following which the state's tally rose to 15,758, a Health Department official said today. Altogether 105 people were discharged from hospitals yesterday, taking the total number of recoveries to 14,319, State Surveillance Officer Dr Lobsang Jampa said. The recovery rate is currently at 90.86 percent, while the fatality ratio is 0.29 percent. There are 1,392 active cases in the state, the official said. (PTI)

Four new fatalities pushed the state's coronavirus death toll to 921, he said. The state now has 3,291 active COVID-19 cases, while 1,01,569 people have been cured of the disease so far, he said. Jharkhand has tested 22,269 samples for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, he added.
