Bihar - Outgoing MLCs retains their seats

Patna, Nov 13 (UNI) Results for seven out of 8 seats of the Bihar Legislative Council which were declared on Friday saw all the outgoing MLCs retain their seats.
Chief Electoral Officer at H R Srinivas said here on Friday that voting for Patna, Darbhanga, Tirhut and Kosi under graduate constituency and Patna, Darbhanga, Girgit and Saran teachers constituency was held on October 22, adding that in the under graduate constituencies Neeraj Kumar of JD(U) won the election from Patna, Devesh Chandra Thakur from Tiruth and N K Yadav from Kosi.

He said that in the teachers constituencies, Professor Nawal Kishore Yadav of the BJP won the election from Patna, Madan Mohan Jha of Congress from Darbhanga, Kedarnath Pandey of CPI from Saran and Sanjay Kumar Singh from Tirhut

He informed that all these candidates managed to retain their seats, adding that the counting of votes for the Darbhanga graduate constituency was still going on where Dilip Chaudhari of JDU was leading.
