Haryana Guv extends greetings to people of state on Diwali

Chandigarh, Nov 13 (UNI) Haryana Governor Satyadeo Narain Arya has extended greetings to the people of the state on the festival of Diwali. He said that the festival of Diwali has brought new wave of happiness, enthusiasm and joy for the people of the state.



He appealed to the people of the state to celebrate pollution-free Diwali this time and light lamps instead of firecrackers. He said that fireworks cause pollution and it should be avoided.

He said that pollution from firecrackers can be more harmful for corona-infected patients. The Governor gave advice to the people to avoid going to crowded places on the auspicious occasion of Diwali and maintain social distancing along with wearing of masks.



He called upon the people of the state to celebrate the festival of Diwali in the right spirit while staying at home. He hoped that the festival brings everyone out of darkness towards radiance and brings happiness, peace and prosperity to the people of the state. He wished that Haryana continues on the path of growth and success in the future.

Chandigarh, Nov 13 (UNI) Haryana Power and Jail & New Renewable Energy Minister Ranjit Singh has said that 10 hours of electricity is being provided for tubewells in Sirsa, Bhiwani, Rewari, Dadri, Gurugram, etc while 24 hours power is being supplied to 4700 villages of the state and soon 24 hours power will be supplied to the remaining villages. Mr. Ranjit Singh said this while interacting with media persons after inaugurating the CCTV camera control room set up at the Sirsa Superintendent of Police’s office on Friday.
