Here's a quick look at some of the top social media moments from around La Liga this week.

Returning home
Levante UD's home match against D. Alavés on Sunday wasn’t just another home match. It was a big occasion as this was the team’s first game back at their Ciutat de València home since before the coronavirus lockdown. Redevelopment work had been carried out at the stadium in recent months and the stunning new-look stadium was finally ready for Levante to move back in. On social media, they justifiably beamed with pride.

Ramos scores his 100th goal for Real Madrid… and then thanks his admirers
Sergio Ramos netted his 100th Real Madrid goal in midweek by heading in a corner as Los Blancos overcame Inter 3-2 in the Champions League, making him just the 19th player in Real Madrid history to reach that milestone and the first out-and-out defender, so Ramos received a lot of praise afterwards. He took the time to respond to some of those who spoke so highly of him, such as former teammates Iker Casillas and Mesut Özil and former Barcelona and England player Gary Lineker.
Gracias, melón. La ilusión y la pasión mueven montañas... y marcan goles. Abrazo fuerte, amigo @IkerCasillas. https://t.co/9gSMaQUUSw

Highlighting the value of teamwork
Atlético de Madrid went to Russia this past week to take on Lokomotiv Moscow, a team they previously faced on their way to Europa League glory in 2017/18. On that previous visit to Moscow, Atleti produced an iconic moment as several of their players sprinted back with immense determination to defend a counter-attack. As Los Rojiblancos prepared to fly to Russia again this past week, they recalled that moment and how it was an excellent example of teamwork.

Nominating a club hymn
Sevilla celebrated their centenary with a new club hymn, written by Spanish artist El Arrebato. It is a special song and is sung with passion at home matches at their Ramon Sánchez-Pizjuán home, with the a cappella rendition often inducing goosebumps among fans. Sevilla are very proud of it and this was made clear this past week when they quote tweeted an account asking for the best chants and songs in football, proposing their own song.

La Liga has a very Japanese feel this season!
This weekend’s Huesca vs Eibar game was a very special fixture for football fans in Japan since it saw Shinji Okazaki’s side go up against the Eibar team of Takashi Inui and Yoshinori Muto. Okazaki couldn’t play due to injury, but that didn’t stop the three Japan internationals from taking a photo together, one which Eibar shared on Twitter via their Spanish and Japanese profiles.
