Stock market update: IT stocks mixed; Info Edge climbs over 3%

NEW DELHI: IT stocks were trading on a mixed note at 01:43PM (IST) on Friday.

Shares of Info Edge (India) (up 3.13 per cent), Larsen & Toubro Infotech (up 1.36 per cent), Mindtree (up 0.5 per cent), Infosys (up 0.46 per cent) and HCL Technologies (up 0.36 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While MPhasis (down 2.36 per cent), Coforge (down 1.98 per cent), Tata Consultancy (down 0.59 per cent), Wipro (down 0.49 per cent) and Tech Mahindra (down 0.41 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The Nifty IT index was trading 0.13 per cent up at 21391.6 around 01:43PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 11.85 points at 12678.95, while the BSE Sensex was down 56.94 points at 43300.25.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 26 were trading in the green, while 24 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, SBI, Alok Industries and Vedanta were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Tata Steel (PP), Eicher Motors, Jubilant Food, Tanla Solutions and P&G Health hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while Sanginita Chemicals Ltd., Sagardeep Alloys Ltd., Jump Networks Ltd., Deep Energy Resources Ltd. and WABCO India Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
