Some of the popular cars sold in India failed to live up to global crash safety standards. In crash tests safety conducted by the Global New Car Assessment Programme (Global NCAP), Maruti Suzuki S-Presso, Hyundai Grand i10 Nios and Kia Seltos scored 0, 2 and 3 stars, respectively, on a 5-star scale. All three cars scored two stars for child occupant safety on a scale of 5.
