NASHIK: Nandurbar district in Maharashtra has got five more dialysis machines that will help in better treatment facilities for the citizens of the tribal dominated district.
The district civil hospital already had seven dialysis machines and another set of five new machines has been added to the same.
The machines were inaugurated by tribal development minister and district guardian minister advocate KC Padvi.
Since the seven machines with the hospital were falling short for the citizens, there was a need to install more numbers of machines.
In the district on an average about 40 persons require dialysis on any given day and since the facility was falling short of the same, the people would then travel to Surat for getting the treatment.
The funds were made available through Tribal Sub Plan (TSP) for Nandurbar district.
The minister also inaugurated the ophthalmology centre at the hospital.
Besides, a surgical ward has also been inaugurated by the minister.
