NEW DELHI: SmallCap stocks were trading on a positive note at 02:08PM (IST) on Friday.
Shares of Banco Products (India) (up 15.71 per cent), NIIT (up 11.87 per cent), Gati (up 11.45 per cent), Prince Pipes and Fittings (up 11.12 per cent) and Somany Home Innovation (up 10.73 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While IRB Infrastructure Developers (down 5.25 per cent), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers (down 4.35 per cent), Ramky Infrastructure (down 4.13 per cent), Sterling And Wilson Solar (down 4.11 per cent) and Hindustan Construction Company (down 3.95 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
The S&P BSE SmallCap index was trading 0.94 per cent up at 15611.75 around 02:08PM.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 20.05 points at 12710.85, while the BSE Sensex was up 60.61 points at 43417.8.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 28 were trading in the green, while 22 were in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Alok Industries, SBI and Ibull HousingFin were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Eicher Motors, Prism Johnson , Jubilant Food, Adani Green Energy Ltd. and Tanla Solutions hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while Mehai Technology Ltd., Saffron Industries Ltd., Pazel International Ltd., SITI Networks Ltd., Neil Industries Ltd., Mukta Agriculture Ltd., S & S Power Switchgear Ltd., Nutraplus India Ltd., Blue Coast Hotels Ltd. and Goblin India Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
