Yengeni: "He was elected not by buying branches in Nasrec. We don't have billions. We have the power of organisation, the power of unity. Not billions. Those who use money to buy branches and delegates to assume the highest office. That is criminal, it is corruption of the highest order and should not be allowed."

Tony Yengeni addresses the crowd.
Yengeni: "We are not here as individuals, as just friends and comrades of Magashule. We are here representing the ANC, that is why we are here wearing the colours of the ANC. Black, green and gold. We make no apologies for coming to support the SG. We make no apologies for wearing the colours black, green and gold."
He adds that they fought and died for ANC colours. He says the media have proclaimed Magashule guilty.
Yengeni: "The SG is going nowhere. He is going to finish his term. He was elected by branches of the ANC in the conference. He will be removed by branches in the national conference who elected him."
Yengeni: "This is very serious war. This is a struggle. Many leaders in the continent were killed and assassinated for standing up and being champions of the people."

Casting call: Who are the figures at the centre of the Free State asbestos corruption case?
Over a year ago, former Free State MEC Mxolisi Dukwana took the witness stand at the commission of inquiry into state capture and accused former Free State premier Ace Magashule of being a "blesser to many", for allegedly sourcing money from the public purse through an asbestos contract.
In his testimony, Dukwana presented a spreadsheet, which he called a "cost of business schedule". On the spreadsheet was the names of several of those who appeared in court this week.

On the issue of bail: "There must be a clear and concise indication to the public, that if you are charged with serious offences such as these, pertaining to, in referring to the fraud charges in particular, which amount to R255 million, and seen in conjunction with the corruption charges which is in the region of R800 000, then it cannot be disputed that this is an extremely serious case, with a lot of media attention, a lot of attention from the public..."
