2021 Ducati XDiavel Motorcycles Unveiled: Italian Cruiser Gets New Variants
Italian Superbike manufacturer, Ducati, has unveiled its 2021 XDiavel range of motorcycles globally. The company has now added a couple of new variants to the Italian cruiser motorcycle and is now available in three trims: the 'Dark', 'S' and the 'Black Star'.

There are a couple of differences between each variant of the XDiavel motorcycle, especially with the entry-level Dark trim. However, all three variants are powered by an updated version of the same engine that is seen on the Euro 4 compliant models.

The XDiavel motorcycles are powered by a liquid-cooled Testastretta V-Twin 1262cc engine with (DVT) Desmodromic Variable Timing. It produces a maximum of 158bhp 9,500rpm and a peak torque of 127Nm at 5,000rpm. The engine comes mated a six-speed gearbox with slip-assist clutch and a Ride-By-Wire system for enhanced electronic rider aids.

The XDiavel Dark is the base-spec model and features the brand's "Reduce to the Max" design principle. The motorcycle is finished in Dark Stealth paint scheme with Carbon Black frame and matt black wheels. The entry-level motorcycle misses out on a couple of top-spec hardware as well.

The Dark trim only features Brembo M4.32 callipers instead of the top-spec M50 callipers as seen on other variants of the XDiavel motorcycle. The motorcycle also misses out on diamond-based coating on the forks, forged alloy wheels, (DMS) Ducati Multimedia System, and (DRLs) Daytime Running Lights.

Speaking about the hardware in details, Suspension duties on the motorcycle are handled by a fully-adjustable 50mm USD fork at the front and a mono-shock setup at the rear with adjustability for Preload and rebound.

Braking on the S and the Black Star is done via twin 320mm semi-floating discs, radial-mounted Brembo monobloc 4-piston M50 callipers with a radial master cylinder at the front, and a 265mm disc, Brembo 2-piston floating calliper at the rear.

The XDiavel receives multiple riding modes as standard across variants. The rider can toggle between Sport, Touring, and Urban ride modes. The motorcycle also features IMU-based Cornering ABS from Bosch, (DTC) Ducati Traction Control, cruise control, and (DPL) Ducati Power Launch.

All variants of the motorcycle also feature the same 3.5-inch TFT display. However, the S and the Black Star varaints features a Bluetooth enabled console for connected features offered by the company.

The Dark and the Black Star varaint tips the sale at 247Kg kerb, while the S variant is 2Kg more than both variants. The S and the Black Star features a lot more equipment than the base-spec model. However, the top-spec Black Star model's remains the same as the Dark variant. This is because the Black Star model features a lighter forged and anodized side frame plates and alloy wheels.

According to the company, the new XDiavel Black Star features livery and equipment inspired by the world of sports cars. The dedicated livery alternates grey and matt black with subtle touches of red. The colour cuts are clear and intersect, echoing the X concept that characterizes the family.

Thoughts About The 2021 Ducati XDiavel Motorcycles Unveiled
