Greetings of the Chief Minister PS Tamang on the occasion of Deepawali

Gangtok, Nov 13 (UNI) Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang has extended his warm greetings and best wishes to the people of Sikkim on the auspicious occasion of Deepawali (Laxmi Puja).

Deepawali signifies the triumph of good over evil, knowledge over ignorance.

Chief Minister in his message said, "Let us, dedicate ourselves to spread the message of compassion, brotherhood and peace. May the festival of lights be an occasion to bring the light of happiness and joy into the lives of the needy and mark the beginning of a new phase of optimism".

Mr Tamang has also called for an effort to celebrate Deepawali in an eco-friendly and pollution-free manner adhering to COVID-19 protocol which is still in effect.

'May this Deepawali strengthen the bonds of goodwill and brotherhood between us and further promote mutual understanding' the Chief Minister added.
