REC Share Price Down by 5%; BSE 500 Index Down 0.4%

REC share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 114.

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 16,398 (down 0.4%).

Among the top losers in the BSE 500 Index today are REC (down 5.1%) and DISHMAN CARBOGEN AMCIS (down 5.1%).

INDIABULLS REAL EST (up 9.8%) and MMTC (up 5.1%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, REC has moved down from Rs 140 to Rs 114, registering a loss of Rs 26 (down 18.6%)..

The BSE 500 has moved up from 15,391 to 16,398, registering a gain of 1,007 points (up 6.5%) during the last 12 months.

The top buzzing stocks among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were ADANI GREEN ENERGY (up 954.8%), LAURUS LABS (up 287.2%) and DIXON TECHNOLOGIES (up 239.7%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 43,299 (down 0.6%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are TITAN (up 1.5%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are INFOSYS and RELIANCE IND..

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 12,662 (down 0.5%). EICHER MOTOR (up 2.7%) and GRASIM (up 1.3%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 40,345 to 43,299, registering a gain of 2,954 points (up 6.87%).

REC Financial Update...

REC net profit stood at Rs 15 billion for the quarter ended June 2019, compared to a profit of Rs 13 billion a year ago. Net Sales declined 4.6% to Rs 69.2 billion during the period as against Rs 72.5 billion in April-June 2018.

For the year ended March 2018, REC reported 25.7% decrease in net profit to Rs 46.9 billion compared to net profit of Rs 63.1 billion during FY17.

Revenue of the company grew 4.7% to Rs 231 billion during FY18.

The current Price to earnings ratio of REC, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 3.8x.
