Bineesh, who was remanded in judicial custody by a special court on Wednesday evening, was taken to the prison hospital where he underwent different tests, including one for
Covid-19. He’s likely to be shifted to an empty cell, where he will be quarantined.
“After Bineesh entered the admission room late Wednesday evening and his court documents were examined. He was given UTP number and shifted to the prison hospital. Routine medical checkup was done and swab samples were collected,” jail officials said.
Bineesh was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate on October 29 in connection with his financial transactions with Mohammed Anoop, 38, who was apprehended by NCB in a drug case.
