Washington, Nov 13(UNI) More and more Republicans are now backing calls for President-elect Joe Biden to be given daily intelligence briefings, a BBC report said on Friday.
Even though most of the Republicans are yet to openly acknowledge Biden's victory, yet the number of them calling for giving intelligence briefings to Joe Biden is slowly but steadily growing.
Among them Lindsey Graham, a key Trump ally, who said Mr Biden should get the secret presidential memo, as is the practice with all incoming presidents.
Others like Chuck Grassley, John Cornyn and John Thune also agreed on this, although House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy said Mr Biden was "not president right now" and should wait.
On Thursday, the Democrats' House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said the "absurd circus" meant the coronavirus pandemic was being neglected, and she and other top Democrats urged Republicans to "accept reality" about the change in the White House.
Similarly, Democrat Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said the Republicans were "deliberately casting doubt on our elections for no other reason but fear of Donald Trump".
