Rajasthan's famous sculptor Padmashree Arjun Prajapati died today from Corona. He was 64. Sculptor Prajapat was ill for a long time. He was undergoing treatment at Mahatma Gandhi Hospital. Sculptor Prajapat gave new dimensions to the sculpture. He was awarded several awards including Padma Shri. He made sculptures of many eminent personalities. He gained fame in the field of sculpture abroad.
Condoling his death, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that the news of the untimely demise of Arjun Prajapati, who has been honored with several awards, including the renowned sculptor Padma Shri. He said that the sculptor Prajapat gave a new dimension to the sculpture and extended the name of the state to the whole world. His death is an irreparable loss to the art world. He said, 'My deepest condolences are with the bereaved family and the sculpture world at this difficult time. May God enable them to bear the brunt and give peace to the departed soul.
Rajasthan's Medical and Health Minister, Dr. Raghu Sharma, while condoling his sudden demise said that the sculptor Arjun Prajapati had created a distinct identity in the field of sculpture. His art made Rajasthan proud in the country and abroad. Apart from being an artist, Shri Prajapati was also a pioneer in social work. He was rich in a courteous and sociable personality. His death has caused irreparable damage to the art world.
