RANCHI: A 15-year-old boy’s body was found with severe injuries near a railway track in Mudhagadha under Namkum police station area on Wednesday morning, police said.
Deceased Alok Raj lived in an area under Sukhdeonagar police station limits. A student of Class 9 at Bishop Westcott Boys School here, Raj allegedly did not return home from his visit to the market on Tuesday and his family had lodged a missing diary on that day itself.
DSP (headquarters) Neeraj Kumar said, “We have registered a case of unnatural death on the basis of the information provided by the boy’s family. We have sent the body for a post mortem and the report would indicate whether he committed suicide or was attacked and thrown on the tracks.”
According to his parents, Raj had asked for bike to visit the market on Tuesday. When his father refused and asked him to go on foot, he went out and never returned home. His parents started searching for him and lodged a missing diary at Sukhdeonagar police station. He was found dead the next day on the railway tracks.
