A soldier and his wife were killed in a car and private bus late last night in the Rajgarh station area of Churu district in Rajasthan.
Station in-charge Gurubhupendra Singh told today that the deceased has been identified as Virambhai (30) resident Motwadia police station Mandvi, district Kutch Bhuj (Gujarat), and his wife Krishnabai (28) from the items found in the car. Virambhai was a soldier. Virambhai, posted in Jammu and Kashmir, was on his way home to Gujarat by taking a private car with wife and son on Diwali.
The car collided with a private bus coming from the front near the Lacedi culvert on National Highway-52 at around 12 pm last night.
He said that Virambhai died on the spot due to this face-to-face collision, Krishna Bai was seriously injured. He was rushed to the hospital where he too succumbed. His five-year-old son suffered no injuries. Police have given information to army officials and the relatives of the deceased. He is expected to arrive by late evening today. A case of an accident is being registered.
