New Delhi, Nov 12 (UNI) National Capital's air continued to remain under the 'very poor ' category with an average index value measuring at 320 at around 1200 hrs, the Central Pollution Control Board said here on Thursday.
Despite slight improvement in the average AQI, the air continued to remain 'very poor' and at several places including Anand Vihar and others the AQI was measured above 350.
Although there was a little less haze in the morning as compared to the thick blanket of smog that was prominent in the Delhi skyline a cpuple of days ago, while minimum temperature settled at 11.6 degrees C with relative humidity pegging at 98 per cent which helps making the air dense preventing dispersion of the particulate matter.
A little improvement in the wind speed and clear skies as forcast by the Met official did help in improving the situation slightly.
The situation was similar in the NCR region where the air quality continued to remain affected ,not showing great improvement, as the AQI at Ghaziabad, Noida and other places continued to remain very poor, index being measured from 300 to 350 in at these places.
People still complained of difficulty in breathing , itchy eyes and overall fatigue in the current situation.
